Song Fa, being Singapore’s household name for delicious Bak Kut Teh, has started a venture with another one of Singaporeans' popular comfort food: Kway Chap. Their first Kway Chap outlet, Song Fa Kway Chap has launched at a new shopping mall, Northshore Plaza, and have adopted two of iMakan's self-ordering kiosks.
Adopting iMakan self-ordering kiosks
Song Fa adopted 2 iMakan wall-hung self-ordering kiosks to encourage customers to self-order. In doing so Song Fa was able to enjoy these benefits to their business:
Less dependence on order taking manpower
By encouraging customers to self-order through the self-ordering kiosk, Song Fa Kway Chap will not have to hire a team of service crew in order to take orders from customers.
Improve ordering accuracy
By adopting iMakan’s self-ordering kiosks, Song Fa Kway Chap gives customers full control of ordering.
On top of that, orders are sent digitally from the self-ordering kiosks to the POS system, which will itemize the orders and send each order item to its respective kitchen section’s printers.
Hence, eliminating chances of human error and miscommunication during the manual order taking process.
Go fully cashless
Cash management can be a tedious task for managers and is prone to employee fraud, which occurs in any industry.
iMakan’s self-ordering kiosk integration with cashless payment terminals that handle a wide range of cashless payment methods enabled Song Fa Kway Chap's customers to pay with any cashless payment method of their choice. This helps Song Fa Kway Chap to move towards a fully cashless operation.
This saves Song Fa Kway Chap’s store managers the hassle of tallying cash at the end of each day’s operations and also helps to safeguard their revenue.
